Jonathan
Bonfiglio
has covered Latin America for a generation. Based in Mexico, he has provided analysis and reporting on widespread topics including migration and the US/Mexico border, the Venezuelan economic collapse, Amazonian deforestation, the evolving end of communism in Cuba, the insurrection in Brasilia and recently the crisis in Haiti, among many others.
Bonfiglio provides reports and analysis on the region for a wide variety of media outlets, including Times Radio (UK), LBC (UK), Grupo Formula (Mexico) and the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation). He also writes for Euronews and is managing editor of Currents, a new, international socio-environmental magazine covering, in depth, the least told stories of our time.
Bonfiglio also covers sport in Latin America for talkSPORT (UK) and features on the World Cup etc podcast, as well as writing on art across the Americas for a variety of magazines and periodicals.
As Latin America Correspondent, Bonfiglio also mentors emerging and early-career journalists in the region, helping talented and underpresented voices establish footholds and develop work within the industry.
